A Little About Me
What I would really like you to remember is that the fitness industry has endless theories on how to approach one's workout program. Not every routine you read about or see on TV is the right one for you. My job is to utilize my experience as well as all of the information available to us and design the best and most effective way for you to reach your goals.
I incorporate a combination of basic and innovative methods for toning or body sculpting using controlled movement in resistance training, techniques which help isolate individual muscle groups. I apply a system of dynamic and isometric exercises to help improve endurance, balance and coordination. I also use plyometrics and other athletic drills to improve explosiveness, speed and agility.

If you feel that your youth might be over, I can prove that it's not. It's not up to us how fast the time passes, but it does depend on us and our mindset what our body is capable of doing and how it ages.
Since I began my career as a personal trainer I have been successfully helping people to improve their lifestyle ad achieve their personal fitness goals. By tailoring each workout based on the individual's needs, I try to create the ultimate fitness experience, stimulating the body and the mind. In addition to weight loss, nutrition and body sculpting, I specialize in sport-specific athletic training, and designing duathlon, triathlon and running programs.

Being a student of yoga allowed me to experience a healing journey that began with a sports injury. Seeking a solution for my reconstructed knee and low back pain; the continual practice cultivated muscular balance and flexibility that sustains my pain-free lifestyle.

A Little About Me
After finding yoga as a way to ease the pain from a displaced disk, I have found the enormous power of yoga both for the body and the mind.
I encourage students to honor where they are in their bodies and not be judgmental toward their bodies or injuries. I enjoy teaching from the heart, and concentrate on using the breath to cultivate mindfulness and connection between breath, body and the mind.

Amy is the primary consulting dietitian for the Equilibrium Personal Training. Her mission is to help people get healthy by embracing the power of food. She will give down to earth recommendations on how to make better food choices, meal planning, getting to a healthy body weight, balancing hormones, the use of alternative supplements and empowering people on the concepts of whole food nutrition and exercise.
Baltes has over 15 years experience working with people to improve health outcomes such as obesity, diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, heart disease, women’s health issues, sports enthusiasts and cancer. She has worked as a Dietitian for Cancer Treatment Centers of America, several upscale fitness centers and Northwestern Memorial Hospital Wellness Institute.

Mike's passion for sports and fitness stems from his extensive and varied athletic background: tennis, soccer, body building and MMA (mixed martial arts).
